Julian Broddle, ex professional Footballer of 17 years and ex Police officer of 16 years. Julian played in England and Scotland, clubs including Sheffield United, Barnsley, Plymouth Argyle, St Mirren and Raith Rovers, amongst others. After retiring in 1998 as a footballer, Julian joined Greater Manchester Police, and spent most of his career there except for two short stints at Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire Police. Julian then wrote a number one best selling autobiography called Down The Line in 2017. Julian is now writing Children's books, and Jack Bird wants to be a Footballer, is the first of ten books that will be released in 2018, about Jack Bird and his dreams as a young boy, for when he grows up. Julian has used young children to draw the pictures on the ten books, because he wanted the kids to relate to the simple technique and that the children reading the books, know that they could draw the illustrations themselves. Julian has also written twenty other Children's books that are educational, and use his Police experiences for the books, and will be announced later in 2018.
