Overview
The growing number of family separations has rendered the subject of custody and access rights a central focus of consultancy in family law. Disputes centred on rights of access occur with considerable frequency and are increasingly fought out as far as the German Federal Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights. On the level of the European Court, the particular urgency of legal protection in matters of access has influenced the creation of faster enforcement options pursuant to the new IIa-VO of Brussels.
