OverviewThe Ius municpale Magdeburgense (the Magdeburg Weichbild) in the Silesian-Małopolska compilation was the most important collection of Magdeburg law applied in the cities of the medieval kingdom of Poland. This volume includes not only the critical editions of three texts corresponding to the main development of the Weichbild, but also marginal notes by contemporary and later users’ (in Latin, Polish and German), providing valuable insights into the legal workings of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. An English translation of the official text of 1506 completes the work.
