Author Information
Bob Henfrey is a practising professional artist of 36 years’ experience, including a teaching career in Adult Education and a former Director with “Painting in Lakeland Limited”. Based in the English Lake District, Bob has been a painting holiday leader with a special interest in outdoor sketching and painting. Comfortable in a range of art media from pen and pencil sketching, to watercolours and oils, Bob’s conventional style and quality make his works accessible, popular and appealing. His interpretive maps to Lake District attractions have been ever popular and has had work accepted into the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Society of Painters in Oils, The Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition. Pete Slater has been a professional artist since the late 1980s, an Adult Education tutor, and a former Director with “Painting in Lakeland Limited”, which he helped found in 1996. His career has extended to leading painting vacations extensively throughout Britain. His worldwide travels have taken his art to New Zealand, Canada and California. Peter’s distinct watercolour style marks out his popular and well collected work. His thorough knowledge of the English watercolour painting tradition has been a rich source of inspiration. Working in a pure watercolour technique, he is truly an artist whose sole expression is to live for his art, and the integrity of the outdoor painting tradition is firmly at home in his handling of the brush. His work has been selected for the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition on several occasions.
