Reviews

It's Game Time!: Games to Enhance Classroom Learning actively involves students in lessons. The games in this book are highly motivational and peak students' interests resulting in improved learning. These games have been classroom tested and can all be adapted for grades K-12. -- Cynthia Coppola, Pre-K-6 teacher, East Haven School District, East Haven, CT Nick Rinaldi's book features games that provide opportunities for both individual initiative and group interaction. As a teacher for more than 35 years, I know that the learning environment needs to afford a feeling of safety and support for all ideas and opinions expressed relevant to the lesson at hand. The activities presented in this book allow the teacher to become a catalyst to learning in a non-threatening and purposeful environment. I wish I had access to such learning-tools when I first faced my students. These games, which are adaptable to virtually any discipline, could have enhanced learning in my Social Studies classes. -- David J. Ullman, retired Social Studies and History Teacher It's Game Time! is Nick Rinaldi's latest book. He again provides us with ways to make classroom time more productive and enjoyable for students, while reinforcing current learning as well as basic facts. With his straightforward language and clear directions, he provides both the template and actual examples that you can use in your classroom tomorrow. As you select and individually tailor his wide variety of games, your students will not only become more engaged, they'll want to create their own. If you are looking for ways to spark interest and support learning in the classroom, It's Game Time! will be a regular and invaluable tool for any subject at any level. -- Roger Fiondella, former K-12 curriculum coordinator, Guilford Public Schools and Fairfield Public Schools, CT
