El martes, 6 de junio de 1950, Puerto Rico desperto con boletines radiales y primeras planas que resenaban la caida de un avion fletado con obreros puertorriquenos a trescientas millas al este de Cabo Canaveral. La aeronave, procedente de San Juan y con destino en la ciudad norcarolina de Wilmington, reclamo para si veintiocho pasajeros antes de hundirse en uno de los puntos mas profundos del Atlantico sin posibilidad de rescate. Esto es un relato de esos hechos segun los recuerda un sobreviviente.
