From 1991 to 1992, he was Foreign Affairs Officer on U.S.-Soviet nuclear weapons at the United States Arms Control & Disarmament Agency, The State Department, Washington, D.C. From 1987 to 1991, he was Assistant Professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Rimanelli received his Ph.D. (1989) in U.S.-European Affairs & Strategy from The Johns Hopkins University-School of Advanced International Studies. He has received several awards including a NATO Fellowship, a Foster Fellowship and a West Point Fellowship.
