Maxy Book Awards WINNER - Best Children's Book

Author Information

Mary Ellen Bramwell has been writing stories since she was a kid. She has five published novels, but her heart belongs to children's books-and to her husband, five children, and three grandchildren, of course. When not thinking up new stories, Mary Ellen is slightly obsessed with board games and jigsaw puzzles. A chocolate enthusiast (which means she loves any and all chocolate), she is known for giving impractical, amusing gifts. She lives in the beautiful Mountain West. Lauren Austin is a UK based illustrator and former teacher with a passion for bringing children's stories to life. She combines eight years of classroom experience with a strong creative vision to create engaging, expressive artwork for books and educational resources. Lauren has illustrated her own picture book as well as more than ten titles for other authors. Her warm, whimsical style focuses on character expression, cinematic lighting, and playful detail, making her illustrations both memorable and accessible. She is now the director of Lost in Illustrating Ltd, working with clients worldwide to deliver professional, imaginative artwork for children's publishing.
