Israel, 3000 Years of Accusations The Verdict

Overview

For three thousand years, this people has stood accused. Accused of having usurped a land. Of having invented a history. Of having fabricated its own memory. And for three thousand years, the archives, the stones, and the chromosomes have been saying the exact opposite to anyone willing to listen. This book reopens the case from the very beginning. It descends into the excavations of Ur led by Leonard Woolley between 1922 and 1934. It reads the Amarna tablets of the fourteenth century BCE. It examines the Merneptah Stele, engraved by an Egyptian pharaoh who names Israel as a distinct people in 1208 BCE. It brings forward the Tel Dan Stele, which mentions the House of David in a ninth-century Aramaic inscription. It analyzes population genetics studies published in Nature Genetics and the American Journal of Human Genetics, linking contemporary Jewish populations to the ancient Levant with a continuity that the Khazar hypothesis cannot scientifically challenge. It lays before the reader a body of documentation whose density propaganda cannot dissolve. Joel Kamala Mwindo then guides the reader through the long history of persecutions, from the Assyrian deportation of 722 BCE to Kristallnacht in 1938, from Masada and the 960 resisters who chose death over Roman surrender to the pogroms of Odessa and Kishinev, from the expulsion from Spain in 1492 to the Wannsee Conference, where the extermination of eleven million people was planned in ninety minutes by bureaucrats who then went home for lunch. The book then moves through the rebirth of 1948 and the wars that surrounded it, the Oslo Accords and the Abraham Accords, the tragedy of Gaza under Hamas, which betrayed its own people, the Iranian architecture of destruction that today shapes a significant part of the conflict, and the war of symbols surrounding Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, arriving at the only question that truly matters: the real conditions for a possible peace, and what concretely prevents it from taking hold. This book takes a position, and that must be stated clearly, because absolute objectivity is an illusion that honest scholars have long abandoned. It stands for historical truth against fabricated narratives, for documentation against slogans, for complexity against convenient simplifications, for the recognition of the suffering of both peoples against the instrumentalization of one to deny the other. It is addressed to every reader who seeks more than the repetition of slogans, who has long suspected that part of what is presented as obvious does not withstand serious examination of the archives, and who accepts the one thing the author asks upon opening these pages: read to the end before drawing conclusions. Whoever closes this book will possess a framework of understanding that few of their interlocutors hold, precise references they can draw upon in their own conversations, and the calm assurance of someone who has taken the time to study what they speak about. Stones do not campaign. Archives have no agenda. Chromosomes cannot be rewritten.
