Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Congresswoman Raschid Tlaib were allowed to swear in on the Quran instead of the Bible. Apparently a nice egalitarian touch! However, the teachings following from the Quran is a totalitarian ideology that does not accept the supremacy of secular laws, such as the Constitution of the United States. In reality Speaker Nancy Pelosi has granted these two congresswomen an exemption from the swearing of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. The legal facts are apparently beyond the comprehension of the many Democrats in Congress who have a legal background.
