Ahmed ElObeidy holds a PhD from the University of Illinois and has served as a professor at Cairo University, the United Arab Emirates University, and King Saud University. He has worked internationally as a Team Leader for strategies with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a Senior Information Technology Officer for Science & Technology Research with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA), and a Chief Technical Advisor for capacity building with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
