Is It 3 Rhyming Stories In 1?

Overview

Three rhyming stories for kids and over 100 illustrated pages of colourful fun all in one book. IS IT HALLOWEEN YET? All Ghouella wants is to be accepted for who she is - a friendly ghost. But no one gives her a chance. Every time people see her, they scream and screech and run away. So Ghouella spends much of her time hiding, waiting for the one day of the year when she can really be herself - Halloween. Trouble is, it's pretty tricky working out when Halloween is if you're hiding in dark places without a watch or a phone. So Ghouella listens out for sounds of Halloween, and when she thinks she hears them, she comes out of hiding to join in the fun. Only she keeps getting it wrong. For example, she thinks she hears the sound of a witch on a broom, so jumps out of a cupboard only to scare a cleaner sweeping a classroom. And when she hears a knock on a front door, she thinks it's trick or treaters looking for fun, so bursts into the room, only to scare people arriving for a birthday party. Poor Ghouella just can't get it right. Will she ever find Halloween again? IS IT SPRING YET? Bedge is a young hedgehog who's eager for winter to be over so that he can end his hibernation and get outside and play. He's so excited about springtime, he keeps waking up and going outside to check what season it is. A sly fox keeps telling him that, yes, it's spring. But is the fox telling Bedge the truth, or leading him into danger? IS IT SPRING YET? is an illustrated rhyming tale that shows children the dangers of listening to and following strangers. It teaches young readers to think for themselves, and about the changing seasons and the realities of life in the woods for small wild animals. IS IT TIME TO GET UP YET? A short but sweet rhyming picture book story about how a little girl's toys help her stay in bed and enjoy a good night's sleep. It will also help younger readers learn to tell the time.
