OverviewPaul Savage has gathered together over 200 images to showcase the variety of vehicle types and liveries to be seen in Ireland between 2012 and 2017. This period was deliberately chosen to allow the reader to compare and contrast the buses and coaches seen in these years, with those in Richard Newman's 'Irish Buses in the mid-1960s', which covers a similar period in time half-a-century earlier. This 120 page volume in Colourpoint's Irish Bus Photographers series takes the reader on a tour north from Dublin calling at, amongst other places, Dundalk, Newry, Newcastle, Newtownards, Belfast, the Giant's Causeway, Derry-Londonderry, Enniskillen and Craigavon, bringing the many colours of the Irish bus scene together in one place for the first time. In Dublin, the red and white of the Bus Eireann fleet contrasts with the blue and yellow of Dublin Bus, with gold, green and red showcasing the various operations of the sightseeing companies. In Belfast, the green of Dublin Coach, the blue of First Northern Ireland/Aircoach, the multitude of colours used by private sector operators and the various liveries applied to the Translink fleets are all faithfully recorded.
