OverviewThis book is Dyslexic inclusive; it is printed in a font that everyone can read, including people with dyslexia. Iris is a unique and charming little girl whose daily ritual is to live a different color of the rainbow. She only wears clothing of that color, eats food of that shade, and plays with toys or games of that tint. But one red day her mum forgets to wash her red clothes, they can't find any red food at the markets and her red book is missing. How does Iris handle this out-of-control situation? With her mum's help, Iris figures out that she can have rainbow days. This story is about how children can become obsessive with objects or activities so as to make sense of them or life, or to feel comfortable and in control. This scenario shows that it's not the end of the world when something goes wrong, it's OK, and with the help from others you can work through it and find other ways to move forward. Level Learner Books #4 - Engaging stories, longer sentences, and language play for developing readers who still need some help. She grew up in a country town where the drizzly weather made her imagination sparkle on paper. From age nine she shelved her homemade books in the school library and received her first rejection letter from Golden Books at thirteen. Decades later, Josie now has over twenty published fiction books on those shelves, over thirty resources on Autism and now a short film she wrote and produced is about to hit the film festivals! I was born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa, where I studied and gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design at The Design School of Southern Africa, Illustration has always been my passion, starting from when I was young with comic books and later turning to Children's books where the are was so beautiful and diverse and so sparked an ongoing dream to become a children's book illustrator. Following my dreams, I founded my own company Blue Monkey Illustration with which I could focus on illustration as well as Graphic design. Apart from Illustration, my other passion is the Brazilian martial art Capoeira with which I met my husband, and together to it, we have dedicated a greater part of our lives, which too surprisingly contributed, to my growth in illustration and working more with children. After founding my company I moved to Brazil to get married, I am now happily pursuing my dream here. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
