OverviewIn a world where life’s problems can feel overwhelming, how can we live with peace of mind? Do you ever wonder: • Why doesn’t life go the way I want? • What awaits us after death? • If God or Buddha exists, why do wars and disasters still occur? “Life is a workbook of problems to be solved,” teaches Ryuho Okawa—renowned spiritual leader and best-selling author. Just as the lotus blooms beautifully in muddy water, we too can allow our inner flower to blossom, no matter the hardships we face. God or Buddha never burdens us with a load heavier than we can bear. The path to enlightenment involves not only attaining wisdom by solving life’s problems but also cultivating a selfless, pure love for others—grounded in the knowledge that this world is not the only world, and that life continues beyond death. This transparent, unconditional love reflects the teachings of Hermes, the Greek god of prosperity and mysticism, who taught that true love should be as pure and transparent as the wind, asking nothing in return. Bridging the Eastern Buddhist path of enlightenment with the selfless love of Western Hermetic thought, Invitation to Faith presents a contemporary, universal faith—one that unites belief in a higher power with daily self-improvement. It encourages us to live in a world of Truth, goodness, and beauty.
