Overview

The need to make visible what many women, including the author, face in silence after the loss of a child, has led Vilmarie to share her life. In these pages, she tells her story, marked by the loss of her five babies, and what she has been doing so far to overcome such a painful experience. After losing her first and second babies, she desperately sought help but did not find information or support to cope with her grief and understand her journey. Plunged into silence and suffering in loneliness, she decided to leave that chapter behind; however, the pain and emptiness in her heart were still there. Over time, she faced more losses and finally decided to seek help, which allowed her to understand her inner and outer world, and although the pain will never go away completely, she is learning to deal with it in a more tolerable way. The author shares her strategies for coping with grief so that, instead of remembering her children with tears, she can do so with a smile. She firmly believes that it is possible to make these scars visible and take on the seriousness they deserve, allowing women to feel comfortable expressing their feelings without having to suffer in silence.
