Rachel Somerstein is an assistant professor of journalism at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she teaches classes in journalism studies and the craft of journalism. She has written for the Washington Post, Guernica: A Magazine of Global Art & Politics, and Wired, among many other publications. Invisible Labor is her first book. Xe Sands is an Earphones award-winning narrator known for her authentic characterizations and intimate delivery.
