Overview

Based on a major project executed by the European Commission, ""Investors' Environmental Guidelines"" should be useful to all those associated with the process of investment in central and eastern Europe. The ""Guidelines"" have been designed for rapid use by the investor who knows very little about the environment, as well as the environmental specialist. The ""Guidelines"", in particular the sections covering liability and regulatory compliance, should also be of particular interest to lawyers while the coverage of environmental legislation should be of wider interest to policy makers, consultants, NGOs and others, both from within the region and from western countries.
