Este estudo parte da minha visão de que a língua fornece uma representação perspicaz de uma cultura e do seu povo (Bosher, 1997; Geertz, 1973; Norton, 1997). O meu objetivo é explorar as conexões entre língua e identidade (Cummins, 1996; Gee, 2001; Maguire & Graves, 2001).
