Overview

This work fully covers the syllabus for the NEBOSH Fire Safety Management certificate. It includes student-friendly presentation in full colour packed with illustrations and photographs. It includes a summary of legislation relevant to fire safety, ideal as a reference for students as well as practitioners. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which came into force on 1 April 2006, responsibility for fire safety rests with the 'responsible person'. In a workplace, this is the employer and any other person who may have control of any part of the premises, e.g. the occupier or owner. The new legislation means that many more people need to know about fire safety. In response to this new demand, NEBOSH have developed the new Fire Safety Management Certificate and it is also expected that there will be an increase in the uptake of existing fire safety courses.
