Author Information

James A. Parsons was a Celestial navigator in the United States Air Force and a technical writer, who also worked in the aerospace industry. He graduated from the University of New Mexico and received a law degree from the University of Denver. James became a full-time art dealer in Denver in 1964, a gallery owner and an art appraiser. His aesthetic awareness, integrity and business skills connected him to art lovers around the world and made him an inspiring, generous and exacting mentor to a new generation of art dealers. James came to Taos in the 1970s. The Art Fever is his first book, capturing the pleasure and the excitement of the art world and those who make it their life. An adventurous and compassionate man, a traveler and a seeker of truth, James was fascinated with metaphysical studies, especially the teachings of Edgar Cayce. Sadly, he left this world on May 5, 2013, shortly before this book was published. He will be greatly missed.
