A fantastical tale full of friendships, hope, and mortal peril. Corrin lives in the sheltered walls of Oddment, surrounded by quiet forests and apprenticing under the elder healer. Corrin's teacher, Bathilda, suggests a last resort: a miracle cure from deep within the Gloamwood. The catch: few who dare enter the Gloamwood are heard from again. Tales tie the Gloamwood to the twilit boundary between life and the starlands. They say it's Death's domain, infested with bog sprites, wyrms, trolls, and Death's chaotic helpers, the Churikin. And the road to it has its own dangers. Not at all eager but decidedly desperate, Corrin embarks on a journey to retrieve this cure. To save her home and her loved ones, she will need to venture farther and be braver than she ever knew she could... and perhaps, in the process, discover the astounding kernels of truth buried in all those tales. Into the Gloamwood is a YA fantasy adventure novel, approximately 118,000 words in length. Appropriate for ages 13-18+ and for young but voracious readers at their parents' discretion.

Sarah is a software developer and writer who grew up in the Midwest and currently lives near Boston, where she spins fantastical tales about creatures, friendships, kindness, and occasional mortal peril. Her short stories have appeared in Daily Science Fiction and in the Boston branch of Grown Up Story Time, a local storytelling event. In addition to writing, she practices aikido and has made some amazingly kind friends by throwing them (with permission!).
