Overview

After his friends, his fellow soldiers, are slain in a battle against an opposing warlord, a torn and crestfallen samurai leaves the service of his warlord and vanishes. Masauji Akabashi lays down the sword, abandons his old life, swearing to never return, and takes the path of a sea ronin. He amasses a crew of fellow outcasts, and together they sail the oceans to find their purpose. Then one night, a storm prompts Masauji to save a grimal from a vessel-wreck - a grimal who claims to hail from Aegotall, a fabled land, thought to be pure speculation, from ancient legends. The sea ronin and his crew are unexpectedly thrust into a quest with the vessel-wrecked grimal, who happens to be from the Sazuu-Chargaaeh fellowship, to warn all of Calraa's rulers about the insane priest turned knave who is bent on burning Aegotall's sister globe to the ground and rebuilding his own empire from its ashes - the madman who has been touched with the Patron of Destruction's gift. A voyage to travel to the rulers of the nations and alert them about this barbarous man before it's too late is sprung.
