Overview

The only life the Mike Parker had ever known was in the Imperial Space Navy (ISN). Now, after 30 years, the service was retiring him from duty as the command master chief of the Vincennes. Starting out as a 3rd class machinist mate on the Marseilles, he was now an MMCM (machinist mate master chief) on his way out, with no real plan for the future. After the muster-out ceremony, May 13th 2422, he got roaring drunk for the first time in his life and stayed that way for the weekend. Monday morning comes, and his life begins anew when Bart Masterson, a project manager for Planet Power Generation (PPG) comes to call, drags him away from the bed for a sales pitch for his employer. It takes a few days for Mike to check the credentials of the company before he agrees to meet with Larry Roddenberry, the president of the company. Larry makes an offer he couldn't refuse when Mike and Bart meet with him at his Montana ranch, outside the ghost town of Billings, Montana. Arriving at Juno, a wild planet on the fringe of the Coalition of Free Worlds (COFW), his life changes forever when he meets the natives shortly afterward. Join Mike in this adventure that starts at Juno when he arrives and only becomes more bizarre as he steps back into his life, not quite totally in control.
