Haque is a Visiting Scholar at the University of Victoria, Canada. He also attended a PhD Internship Program at the Centre for Asia Pacific Initiatives (CAPI) of the University of Victoria, Canada. His areas of specialization are environmental governance, climate change, sustainable development, and local governance. His key contributions focus on evaluating local government's environmental governance. Haque's dedication to advancing knowledge extends to editorial roles, where he currently serves as the editor of several scientific books published by IGI Global International and CRC Press, Taylor, and Francis Group. Dr. Haque has already carried out a number of research projects funded by different national and international organizations. Dr. Haque published more than 60 scientific papers in various national and international journals. He frequently contributes columns to national dailies in both Bengali and English.
