Dr. Omar Ali is an Associate Professor in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Abdullah Al Salem University (AASU), Kuwait. He is also acting head of Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department. In addition, he is the assistant of Vice President for Development and Intuitional Excellence at AASU. He received his PhD in MIS from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia. Also, he holds two master’s degrees, the first one in Information and Communication Technology, and the second one in Information Systems and Technology by research, both from the University of Wollongong, Australia. His research interests include RFID; cloud computing; blockchain; artificial intelligence; security; and system analysis and design. He is the reviewer of many leading journals such as International Journal of Information Management, Government Information Quarterly, Information Systems Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Behaviour and Information Technology. Dr. Abbas has received numerous awards and certificates, including National Distinguished Bachelor Thesis Award, Distinguish Researcher Award among all faculty members in 2018 (AU), Leaders of Learning (Harvard University, USA), WHS (CBD College, Sydney, Australia), TAE (CBD College, Melbourne, Australia), CNC (Institute of Technical Trades, Toronto, Canada), and so on. He was appointed as the member of the graduation supervision committee (for PhD and MSc candidates) in Western Sydney University in 2014. He earned his PhD from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia and has held academic positions at Al-Madinah International University, the American University of the Middle East, and Gulf University for Science and Technology. Currently at the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait, Dr. Al-Ahmad teaches undergraduate and MBA courses and is a member of several key committees. His professional experience includes web development, risk rating, credit workflow, team leadership, and roles as an E-Learning System Administrator and Trainer. Dr. Al-Ahmad has received multiple accolades, including an Excellent Presentation Award at ICCTA2024, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research focuses on mobile cloud computing, penetration testing, and software reliability and quality assurance.
