Charming cartoons, the main characters (Ben, Liza, and their friends), and Magic Mouse make these guides appealing to younger students. The simplicity of the text makes these books not at all condescendingly elementary, but refreshingly obvious. I am certain that these texts will help any computer novice, no matter how old, become more comfortable with the basics of these technologies by clarifying the bits and bytes of terms and devices we use daily, but do not completely understand. It's not merely another how to series. Allow your students to help themselves become more information literate and computer savvy with these guides.
