Azadeh Dastyari is Professor of Human Rights Law and the Director of the Centre for Western Sydney, Australia, where she oversees a wide range of high-impact, equity-focused initiatives. Before joining the Centre, Azadeh was the Director of Research and Policy at the Whitlam Institute. Maria O’Sullivan is Associate Professor at the Deakin Law School in Melbourne, Australia, specialising in refugee law and human rights law. Her work has been cited by the High Court of Australia, the Court of Justice of the European Union and in a number of government inquiries.
