Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationLudwig Deringer is Professor Emeritus of American and Canadian Studies at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He obtained his doctorate from Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany, and his Habilitation from the Catholic University of Eichstätt, Germany, and in 1985–1986 was an American Studies Research Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies (New York) at the University of Washington and the University of Oregon, U.S.A. His research interests include Early American Literatures and Cultures, Historical and Contemporary Rhetoric, Comparative Poetry Studies, American–Canadian literary and cultural interrelations, and American–German literary and cultural interrelations. Liane Ströbel has researched and taught at the following German universities: RWTH Aachen University, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Ruprecht Karls University Heidelberg, and Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. In her research and publications on Emmanuel Macron, Donald Trump, the Yellow Vest crisis, the Brexit referendum, and the current coronavirus crisis, she focuses on underlining the role of sensorimotor concepts in discourse analysis. The results of the synchronic analyses of embodiment and enaction are supported by diachronic studies in the field of language evolution, development, and change.
