Author Information

Khaleel Bader Al-Bataineh works as an associate professor of Applied Linguistics at the Department of English Language and Translation at Petra University, Jordan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from The National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2012. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English language from Jordan with distinction. He worked in many universities in Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. His teaching experience amounts to 15 years at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with good experience in empirical research and curriculum design. A major goal of his is to encourage learners to adopt learner-centered approaches to help them hone their language skills. He has many research papers published in international journals in the field of applied linguistics and e-learning. His research interests are applied linguistics, e-learning, blended learning, language in use, language analysis, speech acts, and their role in communication and sociolinguistic behavior.
