Reviews

In this practically-oriented edition, Ingrid Piller reminds us once again, why skills in critical intercultural communication matter -- more than ever before -- in an interconnected yet turbulent world. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in learning more about what the search for greater intercultural understanding might look like in theory and in practice.--Finex Ndhlovu, University of New England, Armidale, Australia After five years using this text in both master's and undergraduate classes, students consistently value its accessible language and broad examples from education to romance. The latest edition maintains these strengths, with updated examples and a vital new chapter on healthcare and crisis communication, informed by the COVID-19 pandemic.--Jackie Militello, The University of Hong Kong
