Overview

Intelligent Sensing and Communications for Internet of Everything introduces three application scenarios of enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), large-scale machine connection (mMTC) and ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC). A new communication model, namely backscatter communication (BackCom), intelligent reflector surface (IRS) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology in Internet of Everything (IoE), is described in detail. Also focusing on millimeter wave, the book discusses the potential application of terahertz 6G network spectrum in the Internet of Things (IoT). Finally, the applications of IoE network in big data, artificial intelligence (AI) technology and fog/edge computing technology are proposed.

Dr Zhengyu Zhu is with the School of Information Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China. since July 2017. received the Ph.D. (Hons.) degree in information engineering from Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China, in 2017. From October 2013 to October 2015, he visited the Wireless Communication Laboratory, Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, to conduct a collaborative research as a Visiting Student. He is currently a Lecturer with Zhengzhou University. His research interests include information theory and signal processing for wireless communications such as 5G, the Internet of Things, machine learning, multiple-input multiple-output wireless networks, physical layer security, wireless cooperative networks, convex optimization techniques, and energy harvesting communication systems. He is Member of IEEE. Dr Zheng Chu is with the Institute for Communication Systems (ICS), University of Surrey, U.K. since Nov. 2017. He was with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University, London, U.K. from 2016 to 2017. He received Msc. and Ph.D. degrees in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Newcastle University, U.K., in 2012 and 2016, respectively.
