When he returned to Italy, he obtained a Postgraduate certificate in Clinical research methods and became Assistant Professor in Biomaterials in 2013 at Unipr. He focused his research on scaffolds for tissue regeneration, founded a startup company based on his research and was Chief Scientific Officer.
