Previously, she served University of Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and University of Tenaga Nasional Malaysia (UNITEN). She obtained her PhD in Law from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Her interest areas are Natural Resources Law and Sustainability, particularly related to renewable energy. She has been appointed as a technical member for the enactment of the Malaysian Legal Framework on Seabed Mining in 2019.
