Barrie Mecrow is a professor with the Electrical Power Research Group at Newcastle University, UK. Prior, he was a turbo-generator design engineer at NEI Parsons, UK. His research interests include fault-tolerant drives, high-performance permanent magnet machines, and novel switched reluctance drives.
