OverviewThe riveting follow-up to Mark Lynch's debut 'alternative history' thriller THE WAR OF ZERO SUM It's July 1969 and the struggle continues as Sean McCann and Josie Ferguson return to the Soviet-controlled North East of Ireland. Josie is determined to avenge the death of her father, while Sean reluctantly re-joins the underground resistance in Belfast. But neither reckon on the dogged determination of Special Branch's Alec Lynch who wants McCann dead or alive. And so begins a deadly game of cat and mouse, played out against the backdrop of a city in a state of open rebellion against Russian rule as Protestants and Catholics unite to fight a common enemy. Action packed, fast moving, thought provoking, INSURGENT TOWN picks up where THE WAR OF ZERO SUM left off. It is a gripping alternative look at what could have happened had the Irish Troubles developed differently in the late 1960s.
