Overview

This volume contains articles covering various aspects of instrumentation for high energy physics. The subjects of the contributions, all new and previously unpublished, have been chosen in order to provide a complete overview of the fundamental processes and of the technological problems encountered for detecting, tracking and identifying charged and neutral particles in modern particle physics experiments. Each contribution is intended to offer a consise but comprehensive description of the state of the art on the subject, and is addressed to post-doctorate and researchers, though it may also be useful as specialzed teaching aid in workshops on intermediate and high energy experimental physics.
