Overview

This is a companion book to the student edition by the same name: ""Introduction to the New Testament"". The Instructor edition includes my answers to the questions and a few helpful notes. The workbook format is designed to have the student write down their answers and reinforce their answers. If you don't agree with my answers, you have the right to be wrong. Smile! Actually a teacher my disagree with me on several fronts. It makes for good discussion and that was the purpose of the book-to help students discuss the scriptures. One area of disagreement is the date assigned to each NT book. There seems to be a school of thought that places the dates early and another point of view that paces the dates later. I did a reasonable amount of research on the dates and then threw a dart for my final conclusion. Smile. On an average, the lessons contain 15 questions that require you to go to a specific verse and find the answer to a question. For example, we are asked in the Lesson on Luke: What was Anna's job in the temple? Turning to the included scripture of Luke 2:36-38, we find not only who Anna was, but that her job was fasting and praying. Not a deep theological revelation, but a discussion on the events surrounding the birth of Christ. One more step in our trek to sound Biblical understanding. This book was originally written to be used in a small group setting, hence a teacher would be leading the discussion. For that reason some questions will encourage some group discussion. It is a workbook. A question is asked, a scripture is given, and then a space for your written response. God Bless in your study.
