Overview
Instruction Targeted for TABE(R) Success is a network-based system which combines computer-based instruction with Contemporary's Skill Assessment Modules, creating one comprehensive preparation system for students taking the TABE(R). ITTS uses student scores from TABE(R) Forms 9 & 10 to assign lessons in the software program. The software also provides customized prescriptions to Contemporary's TABE print materials. ITTS consist of 281 lessons and 716 assessments for TABE levels E, M, and D. The lessons focus on skills and sub-skills in reading, mathematics, and language. Using the ITTS software helps students progress through the levels of TABE while providing detailed records.
- The program creates an individualized study plan based on the students' TABE form 9 or 10 test results.
- Students move through the prescribed lesson modules until they have mastered all skills for their level.
- Students achieve significant gain when re-tested with TABE 9 or 10.
Management System The
ITTS management system will allow instructors to manually input student TABE results, or import scores electronically from CTB/McGraw-Hill
TestMate TABE, or
TABE-PC. The management system will use the TABE data to create individual study plans. Student progress can be tracked via the management system, allowing instructors to see if lessons have been completed and mastered.
