OverviewInspirational Stories of the Homeless is a brilliant collection of ten short stories. Because of the authors position he chose these because other than one they all were written because these stories are of adult children of alcoholics and not active users, many are children. Here we recognize endurance as virtuous. Endurance is one of the most valuable traits of children in alcoholism, violence, & dysfunction. Homelessness is rarely thought to have anything to do with being an adult child of an alcoholic, violence, & dysfunction. As a result, for those who are adult children of alcoholics it becomes an inadvertent repeat of victimization through alcohol. Considerable segments of the homeless population are adult children of alcoholism, violence, & dysfunction, auto accidents, job loss, terminal illness and more. This book presents no cause and effects, diagnostics or least of all solutions. These are simply stories of the virtue of endurance under incredible odds; endurance of spirituality, generosity, and peace in the midst of dire brutality. For the adult child the safety and comfort of home is inexperienced therefore it is reasonable it would be challenging to create that which has never been modeled. Here are stories of honor from the hearts of those with no-where to live.
