Author Information

Domenico Meloni is Assistant Professor of Food Hygiene at the University of Sassari since 2006. He is graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2002) at the University of Sassari, (Italy); PhD in Quality and Safety of Food of Animal Origin (2006) at the University of Sassari (Italy) and Master of Science in Food Safety of fishery and aquaculture products (2007) at the University of Bologna (Italy). He has been a Visiting Researcher at the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety (CRIFS) of the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) and at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology (CIBUS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). He has participated in European and National research projects in Italy. He is the author of more than 90 publications which appeared in international journals and conference proceedings. He is Member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Food Microbiology, Journal of Veterinary Science and Research and of the Working Group on ""Fishing and related matters"" of the National Federation of Italian Veterinary Orders (FNOVI).
