His research interests include interest groups, trade policy and European integration. Next to having published a large number of journal articles, he is also the author of Protection for Exporters: Power and Discrimination in Transatlantic Trade Relations, 1930DS2010 (2010) and a co-editor of Trade Cooperation: The Purpose, Design and Effects of Preferential Trade Agreements (2015).; Gemma Mateo is a Research Fellow at the University of Salzburg. Her research on questions of European integration and interest group politics has been published in journals such as Comparative Political Studies, the European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics and the Journal of Common Market Studies.
