Author Information

Joseph C. Atkinson, S.T.D. is the associate professor of Sacred Scripture at the John Paul II Institute at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He is a leading expert in the biblical and theology foundations of the family and has done extensive and ground-breaking research on the family's role in salvation history. He is the author of Biblical and Theological Foundations of the Family: The Domestic Church (CUA Press, 2014) and founder of the Theology of the Family Project (TheologyOfTheFamily.com). He and his wife, Nancy, have been married thirty-eight years and have six children. Paul Gondreau, S.T.D. is a professor of theology at Providence College in Rhode Island. He is the author of numerous scholarly works on marriage and human sexuality and on Christology, including essays in various collections and in such scholarly journals as Nova et Vetera and The Thomist, and with particular specialization in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas. He is also formerly a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' committee on Laity, Marriage, Family, and Youth.
