Manolis Papdrakakis is Professor in the Department of Structural Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. His research is esearch activity is mainly focused on the development and the application of the latest computer methods and technology to structural engineering analysis and design. Barry Topping is Professor of Computational Mechanics at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also editor of the International Journal of Computers & Structures and editor of Advances in Engineering Software.
