OverviewWhat you find interesting is not perfection. ""Would you have come if you'd known that it would change your life forever?"" Tom is in his mid-30's and hates yoga. He expresses his spiritual interest instead by having rational, analytical discussions. A friend manages persuading him to participate in a workshop about emotions. There, Tom meets Manú. Her witty and candid spirit challenges him to open up - both intellectually and emotionally. Does something like spiritual energy exist? And if so, does it mean it has electrical power? They are particularly interested in one question: Is the ego alone responsible for orchestrating one's personal drama? This question requires Tom to make a profound decision. But what does Manú have to do with that? As he meets the impossible, Tom's world seems to grind to a halt. Who or what are these creatures, so strange yet familiar, creatures that really aren't supposed to exist? Soon his attention gets caught up in an unpleasant situation. It becomes clear that something is wrong there, on a bigger scale. What's going on, and why is it that only Tom can set the record straight? Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationTom Millar (36) is a professional hotel management consultant, lecturer and hotel certifications inspector. He lives in Berlin, where he began to deepen his interest in spirituality. He has travelled in Asia, where he learned about Buddhism and meditation in Thailand. At the same time, he is sceptical about the concept of yoga as it appears in the Western world.Writing came into Tom's life by chance. He never thought about it before, but various circumstances led him to change his mind. That is why he is so thankful that he met Dirk and they got to co-create a first book - INNER UNIVERSE. Being an expert in communication methods didn't help much when it came to writing a story. But challenges are there to be overcome and this story is definitely worth sharing. Tom is eager to do so and so took a leap of faith. Dirk Brückner (46) is familiar with writing from his scholarly work. This is his first novel, where he explores his spiritual interests. In his first book - on working as a travel guide - he already dealt with the idea of human interaction through observant self-awareness. An interest in self-development and yoga led Dirk to India, where he encountered Vedic teachings in ashrams and yoga schools. He was previously familiar with the teachings of Buddha, what a ""spiritual path"" can reveal, and why this must always intersect with personal growth. Now, with this book, Dirk puts his desire to bring people together with themselves and share spiritual wisdom in a simple manner down on paper.
