Author Information

Jon Kolkin is an internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning photographer and artist who pursues his passions while maintaining the elusive balance between personal and professional life. His strategies have allowed him to pursue his paths as a photographer, physician, educator, global humanitarian and international speaker. In addition to over 20 solo exhibitions in the US and abroad, he has taught at Maine Media workshops and lectures at universities, museums and other venues worldwide. Kolkin co-chaired the North American Museum Summit in India, which included an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama (2018). He was part of the production team of the North American documentary Man of Compassion: Stories of the 14th Dalai Lama, with contributions from Presidents Obama, Clinton, Bush, and others.
