Maria Fleischhack studierte Ägyptologie und Anglistik in Leipzig, wurde in der Anglistik promoviert und arbeitet als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Englische Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Leipzig. Patrick Schmitz studierte Geschichte und Anglistik an der RWTH Aachen und arbeitet als Lehrer an der Sekundarschule Kreuzau-Nideggen. Christine Vogt-William studierte Englisch, Deutsch und Psychologie an der Universität Essen, wurde in York (UK) promoviert und leitet das Gender- und Diversity-Office im Africa Multiple: reconfiguring African Studies-Cluster an der Universität Bayreuth.
