Overview

Child Abuse as defined by 2015 Florida Statute 827.03 (b) is 1. Intentional infliction of physical or mental injury upon a child; 2. An intentional act that could reasonably be expected to result in physical or mental injury to a child; or 3. Active encouragement of any person to commit an act that results or could reasonably be expected to result in physical or mental injury to a child. So why doesn't our legal system recognize substantiated and proven parental alienation as a form of child abuse? Injustice for All: A Family Law Tragedy is the journey our family took to protect and improve the life of an innocent child, my former stepdaughter. Subjective and unjust rulings by several judges enabled a vengeful, abusive, and litigious mother to continue a decade of alienation, brainwashing, lies, manipulations, and false abuse allegations. In my ex-husband's case, he was incarcerated for trying to protect his daughter the day his daughter admitted the abuse by her mother had turned physical. More importantly, his daughter began self-harming, was Baker Acted, and became suicidal. Her mother and the presiding judges left her scarred for life. It is time that parental alienation is exposed and accepted for what it truly is, child abuse. This can and must be stopped.

Author Information

Born in 1966, I was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1990, I migrated to St. Petersburg, Florida for the warmth and the coastline. I love all that Florida has to offer from its history and culture to its year round sports and local seafood, (but I still miss my MD crabcakes!) I enjoy writing, painting, cooking and fitness. My family is my priority but having a great relationship with God is my ultimate goal.
