Florence May has taught English in Spain for 5 years. She has experience in all levels from Jolly Phonics to C2. Although the primary reason she has written this book is to help Spanish children to understand English, there is another reason. Even though she studied Spanish before she moved to Spain she found the early years very difficult. Trying to explain grammar to a class of 5yr olds was a nightmare. I dreaded my students asking me what something meant, because I had to explain with limited Spanish. So I started making handouts to explain new grammar in Spanish. The parents were delighted and hand outs got bigger every week. Eventually the handouts were made into a book. This was even more popular and friends of the parents began asking for the book. Cambridge course books are in English. Many Spanish parents do not speak English and they do not know if their children are actually learning anything. Using this book, they can test their children and learn English themselves, at the same time. The grammar differences are explained in Spanish and English.
