Author Information

Prof. C.A. Augustine, who passed the M.Lib.Sc. degree of the University of Delhi in 1964, was a Library Science teacher all along these years. He retired from the Department of Library & Information Science, University of Kerala in 1991 as its Reader and Head, and thereafter served in the Kerala Agricultural University as its Professor & Library Advisor until August 1995, and later continued as visiting/guest faculty in different universities. He has been the grand teacher of 5 generations of library & information science teachers in Kerala. As such, his publication on Information Science, one of his pet subjects, has very much to impart to students of this discipline. He has contributed immensely to the library & information science literature with a number of books and compilations, about 100 learned papers, and edited the KELPRO Bulletin, a UGC/NAAC accredited professional journal from Kerala, for 10 years.
